SPOOM Mid-Atlantic Chapter
Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the Society for the Preservation of Old Mills

The Society for the Preservation of Old Mills, SPOOM, is dedicated to preserving historic mills and educating individuals about the significance of the early American milling industry.
SPOOM offers people with an interest in early American industrial technology an avenue to learn, share knowledge, and create community with other people who share similar interests.

The SPOOM-MA Chapter carries out the SPOOM mission in Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. We provide visibility and information on the mills in our region and help our members learn about and visit these mill sites.

Our website features information on regional public mills, as well as SPOOM-MA chapter activity, and data about the milling history of the U.S. Mid-Atlantic area. Our website provides a photo archive, historical information, and links to many sources of relevant mill information.

Spoom MidAtlantic.org strives to be the #1 resource for exploring historic mills in the Mid-Atlantic region. Please help us reach our goal by contributing to our database and frequenting our site.
